All the while, they are fighting the uncontrollable feeling that they have for each other. As the battle thickened, I found myself cheering on our heroes on both counts.It was an enjoyable read I liked it and I'm sure you will too!

In Kiss of the Wolf, Ms Porter continues the saga started in Shadow of the Wolf, only this time we follow Saleene's sister Kara, who was also chosen to hunt down the evil that plagued the land. Zachius is chosen to help her, but will their attraction to each other cause them to be careless and get caught in the tangled web weaved by the demons causing them to fail in their mission?

Kiss of the Wolf is the second book in the series Darkness Unleashed by R. G. Porter.
Kara has been sent by the elders of her village on a mission to find the evil that is darkening the land. She follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Seleene, as both a healer and a warrior. Alone in her quest to locate the source of the evil she has traveled alone with only the company of a wolf. Leaving the mainland she finds her way to an island where nothing is as it should be. Her senses long attuned to the sounds and feel of the forest are unable to penetrate and use her gifts in the way she has before. This land feels evil. As if something has shrouded it in darkness.
Zacharia has been been sent by his long time friend, Dartain, to find the sister of his love, Saleene. He has been charged with her protection. It is his duty to guard her and keep her safe no matter the cost. After enduring a long journey both over land and sea he finds himself on the island, having tracked her there. But the island is as mysterious to him as another world. He too, finds his usual skills dampened by the omnipresent evil that covers it.
Coming upon Kara after she has been attacked Zacharia finds not only will his skill as a warrior be needed to protect her, but all his patience will be tested. Kara doesn't want nor does she think she needs his help. Knowing he cannot turn away from his duty, nor his dreams of the beautiful red haired women, he must find a way to win her trust. He must also keep a secret from her. One that lurks just beneath his skin. The one thing he is not sure she will be able to accept.
Together they must fight the evil that has taken over the land, and together they must admit to what their hearts are telling them as they fall in love and battle for good. Knowing that they will never fully win until the circle of warriors and healers is completed. For the seers have given them a prophecy. More must join them before the last battle begins.
Wolves and magic abound in the YA novel with healers, seekers, magic and battles. Continuing the Darkness Unleashed Series the novel stands well alone. A well written and presented YA novel with characters who are suitable for young teens as well as adults. With adventure following adventure and interesting plot turns it captures the imagination. The romance is suitable for all age groups as is the language. The violence is not overly graphic and is suitable to all but the very sensitive younger aged YA.
